Scholarship Summary:
Chowan University is committed to investing in rising student leaders (domestic and international) who have demonstrated leadership capacity in their high schools, community, sports team or church.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must;
i. Demonstrate leadership capacity
ii. Have been admitted for undergraduate study at Chowan.
Value of Scholarship:
The Chowan Leadership Scholarships are valued as follows;
i. Leadership Scholarship: $9,000/year {Required GPA: Min. 2.7}
ii. Dean’s Scholarship: $5,000/year
ii. Trustee Scholarship: $2,000/year
All above awards are renewable for up to four years provided the renewal criteria are met and can be combined with the Chowan Merit Scholarship.
Scholarship Application Guide:
To apply,
i. An online application, essay, and on-campus interview are required. Interviews are held on select dates in November and January. Your completed application is your registration for Chowan Scholarship Day.
ii. Selected applicants will be required to attend an on-campus interview. Interviews are held on select dates in November and January. Professional attire is requested for your interview.
iii. Students are required to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
