Scholarship Summary:
Chowan University is delighted to recognize and reward the hard work and talent of incoming freshmen students (domestic and international). All accepted students are automatically considered for one of the academic merit scholarships.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
There are no set criteria but past recipients were in the top 30% of the applicant pool
Value of Scholarship:
The Chowan Freshman Merit Scholarships are valued as follows;
i. President’s Scholarship: $11,000/year
ii. Alumni Scholarship: $9,000/year
iii. University Scholarship: $8,000/year
iv. Founder's Scholarship: $5,000/year
All above awards are renewable for up to four years provided the renewal criteria are met.
