Scholarship Summary:
Freshmen students (domestic and international) invited to apply to the McDaniel College Honors Program are also considered for Presidential Scholarships. Admission to the McDaniel Honors Program is highly selective and designed to identify students whose applications demonstrate intellectual curiosity, an intrinsic motivation to learn, and potential as leaders in the McDaniel community.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
There are no set criteria for consideration but past recipients had a high school GPA average of 3.85 and pursued an average of 4 years of foreign language in high school, along with the completion of many honors, AP, and IB courses.
Value of Scholarship:
The Presidential Scholarship begin from $1,000 per year all the way up to full tuition.
Scholarship Application Guide:
To apply for this scholarship;
i. Students who submit a complete application for admission by December 15 are automatically considered for the Honors program.
ii. Eligible candidates are then identified by the admissions counsellor based on a combination of core high school GPA, writing samples, honors classes, AP classes, class ranks, and any other areas of significant achievement.
iii. Students identified as potential Honors students will be invited to the invitation-only Scholars on the Hill event
