Scholarship Summary: 
Admission to the University of Evansville’s Baccalaureate to Doctor of Medicine (B/MD) program is highly competitive with approximately eight students from Indiana accepted into the program annually. Students accepted into the University of Evansville’s B/MD program will receive strong merit scholarship consideration to assist with their UE bachelor’s degree and provisional admission to the Indiana University School of Medicine-Evansville.

Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
Successful applicants typically meet all of the following criteria:
ACT score of 29 or a SAT score of 1350
An approximate high school grade point average of 4.0
Must be residents of Indiana

Additional admission factors to be considered:
range and depth of extracurricular involvement
demonstrated interest in the health sciences
good interpersonal skills

Value of Scholarship: 
Students admitted to the University of Evansville’s Baccalaureate to Doctor of Medicine (B/MD) program will receive a total of $30,000 per year ($25,000 scholarship + $5,000 housing award) to assist with their UE bachelor’s degree and they will also receive provisional admission to the Indiana University School of Medicine-Evansville.

Scholarship Application Guide: 
To apply;
1. Submit the University of Evansville undergraduate admission application, high school transcript, and SAT or ACT scores to the University of Evansville Office of Admission no later than November 1, 2023.

2. Submit the B/MD Program Application (use the same login information you used to apply to UE) no later than November 1, 2023. Application includes a space for an essay addressing your personal interest in medicine and long-term goals in the profession.

3. The final step in the application is providing the names and email addresses of three individuals for an evaluation. The evaluators will complete an on-line form to be submitted with your application. This replaces providing three traditional letters of recommendation. The B/MD committee likes to hear from:
    o High school school counselor or high school principal
    o High school teacher
    o Unrelated individual (coach, employer, minister etc.)

4. After applications have been processed, the UE B/MD advisory committee will invite qualified applicants for an interview. After applicant interviews, the UE B/MD committee will select qualified candidates for recommendation of acceptance into the UE B/MD program. Final approval for the UE B/MD program will be the responsibility of the Indiana University School of Medicine Admissions Committee.
