Scholarship Summary: 
The University of Connecticut is proud to be a Stamps Family Charitable Foundation partner and will be awarding the Stamps Scholars Awards to exceptional Connecticut high school seniors. Please note that selection is highly competitive.

Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for this award, students must 
i. Be a resident of Connecticut 
ii. Qualify for the Nutmeg or Day of Pride scholarship.

A. Nutmeg Scholarship: The Nutmeg Scholarship honors the exceptional accomplishments of Connecticut secondary school seniors. Nominees should demonstrate exceptional academic ability, have performed notable service to school and community, and possess the qualities of a good citizen and leader.  In addition, all semifinalists and finalists in the National Hispanic Recognition Program or the National Merit Semifinalist Competition are eligible for a nomination.

B. Day of Pride Scholarship: Day of Pride Scholarships are awarded to outstanding Connecticut secondary school seniors from disadvantaged backgrounds who have proven academic ability as demonstrated through high school grades, test scores (test-optional), class rank, and letters of recommendation. In addition to a commitment to diversity and multiculturalism, demonstrated leadership, and contributions to their community, students should have documented financial need.

Value of Scholarship: 
The UConn Stamps Scholarship will offer a full support scholarship (tuition, room and board, fees, books, transportation, miscellaneous) annually. Funding for enrichment experiences (up to $12,000 per student) is available.

Students awarded the Stamps Scholars Award will be guaranteed admissions to UConn's highly selective Honors Program and have access to other opportunities such as the University Scholar Program.

Scholarship Application Guide: 
To apply;
i. The undergraduate admissions application as well as all required documents for the Nutmeg or Day of Pride scholarship must be completed by November 1.
ii. Nutmeg and Day of Pride Scholars will be submitted for review by the University of Connecticut. 
iii. Selected students will then be invited to have a required interview with the Admissions staff and the Stamps Family Charitable Foundation.
