Scholarship Summary:
Augustana automatically considers incoming freshmen students (domestic and international) for academic merit scholarships based on their application for admission. These merit scholarships are typically awarded to students with exceptional academic ability who also have demonstrated outstanding out-of-classroom and co-curricular involvement and good character.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must;
i. Have a minimum cumulative re-calculated high school GPA of 3.2 (out of 4.0)
ii. Plan to enroll full-time at Augustana College
Value of Scholarship:
The Augustana Freshman Scholarships are valued as follows;
Academic Scholarships
i. Presidential Scholarship - $29,000 annually (GPA of 3.8+/ 1300+ SAT/ 28+ ACT/ Top 10%)
ii. Dean’s Scholarships - $27,000 annually (GPA of 3.5+/ 1200-1300 SAT/ 25-27 ACT/ Top 20%)
iii. Founder’s Scholarship - $25,000 annually (GPA of 3.2+/ 1130-1190 SAT/ 23-24 ACT)
Other Scholarships
iv. Campus Visit Grant - Up to $4,000 ($1,000 per year for four years) {For enrolling students who visit campus between March 1 of their junior year of high school and May 1 of their senior year}
v. Out-of-State Award - Up to $4,000 ($1,000 per year) {For students who live outside of Illinois and graduate from a U.S. high school}
vi. Austin E. Knowlton Scholarship: $2,500/year {For Ohio Residents}
