Scholarship Summary:
Huddersfield is pleased to be able to offer a number of scholarships for students from the UK and is currently offering £1,000 to eligible students in their first year of study.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
The following principles will determine the awarding of this scholarship;
1. Scholarships will be available to new students who have 120 UCAS points or more (under the new UCAS Tariff) made up of any UCAS qualification that can be mapped against the points tariff and whose family income is less than £25,000 per annum.
2. The Scholarship will apply for full-time undergraduate studies at the University in 2023/24.
3. The Scholarship will not be available to students on one year top-up degree programmes.
4. The Scholarship will not be available to part-time students at the University of Huddersfield.
5. If you are a mature student and you meet the criteria, you are eligible for the scholarship.
6. Students that already hold an undergraduate honours degree level qualification are excluded from the scheme.
7. English, Scottish, Welsh, Northern Irish and EU students will be eligible for the award. Their entry qualifications will be converted to equivalent UCAS entry points where possible so they can be assessed in the same way as English students.
8. Students from non EU countries, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man are excluded from the award.
Value of Scholarship:
The Huddersfield UK Undergraduate Scholarship is worth £1,000 and will be awarded as a payment to the student in the first year of study only. The University will make payment into the student’s bank account in February of that academic year.
Scholarship Application Guide:
There's no need to fill out an application form; Huddersfield will automatically submit applications for all students who meet the relevant criteria (based on information supplied to Student Finance England/Wales/Northern Ireland/SAAS when applying for fee and financial support).
