Scholarship Summary:
Madison Awards for Academic Excellence are merit-based awards which recognize a broad spectrum of accomplishment and potential. Academic colleges and departments are responsible for selecting individuals (domestic and international) who posses scholastic achievement within a particular area of study and demonstrate promise to the university.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for this scholarship, you must;
• Be a new, first-time undergraduate student
• Demonstrate great academic accomplishment and potential.
Value of Scholarship:
The Madison Award amounts are equivalent to 75% of in-state tuition and comprehensive fees based on the year entering JMU.
Maintaining Eligibility
Students must achieve a 3.0 cumulative JMU grade point average by the end of each academic year to qualify for renewal.
Scholarship Application Guide:
Students will be reviewed for the Madison Awards for Academic Excellence using their application for admission to JMU, no additional application is required.
After an offer of admission, scholarship recipients will be notified as part of the financial aid award notice process. Applicants who do not receive a scholarship will not be notified.
