'24 Southeastern Louisiana University Freshman Scholarships (US Based)

i. Priority Honors Scholarship: January 15, 2024 (CLOSED)
ii. Honors Scholarship: July 31, 2024 (International students are to apply by June 1, 2024)

Scholarship Summary: 
Southeastern offers scholarship opportunities for incoming freshman (domestic and international) on the basis of demonstrated ability, without regard for financial need.  All Southeastern scholarships are awarded on a funds available basis and are subject to change. Please note that international students qualify for only the Honors Scholarship.

Scholarship Applicant Criteria: 
To be eligible for a freshman scholarship, you must have the following credentials;
Any student admitted to Southeastern with a 23 or higher ACT and a minimum 3.5 high school grade point average (unweighted) or a 24 or higher ACT and a 3.0 high school grade point average (unweighted) qualifies for a scholarship at Southeastern.

Scholarship Retention Requirements:
You must maintain a MINIMUM 3.0 CUMULATIVE GPA. 
You must be continuously enrolled full-time each semester (minimum 12 hours).
You must attempt and pass no less than 30 hours per academic year.  

Value of Scholarship: 
The SLU Freshman Scholarships are valued as follows;
i. Priority Honors Scholarship: $1,000-$4,000 Scholarship award + $1,000-$3,000 Housing and Meal award
ii. Honors Scholarship: $500-$3,000 Scholarship award + $750-$2,000 Housing and Meal award

*Housing and meal supplements are ONLY available to students who continuously live on campus beginning with their first semester of enrollment.

Scholarship Application Guide: 
The Southeastern application for admission serves as the application for all New Freshman Scholarships, no separate scholarship application is needed. Students should apply for admission by the priority deadlines indicated below to be eligible for Southeastern's best scholarships. Students should submit their ACT or SAT scores and high school transcript(s) with GPA by August 1 of their senior year.
