Seattle Pacific University awards several Deffenbaugh and Burwell Engineering scholarships to incoming domestic freshmen majoring in an engineering discipline. These first-year scholarships are awarded based on the potential for the student to succeed in SPU’s engineering programs as well as demonstrated financial need.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
In order to be considered for the Deffenbaugh or Burwell Engineering Scholarship, you must do the following:
• Be intending to major in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, or General Engineering.
• Submit your FAFSA to SPU.
Students will be selected based on their academic rigor, demonstrated passion for service, and leadership experience.
Value of Scholarship:
The SPU Deffenbaugh and Burwell Engineering scholarships are valued up to $5,000 annually.
Scholarship Application Guide:
There is no additional application for this scholarship. Decisions will be based on your to the University. Scholarship recipients will be notified by April 1.
