Scholarship Summary: 
EKU is awarding merit scholarships to eligible first-time freshmen students who are residents of Kentucky state based on their high school GPA and ACT score.

Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must;
i. Obtain a minimum high school GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 (unweighted) or 2.50 GPA for students from Madison County

Value of Scholarship: 
The EKU In-State Freshmen Merit Scholarships are valued as follows;
i. Merit Tier 1 Scholarship: In-state Tuition annually {3.8–4.0 GPA and ACT 28+}
ii. Merit Tier 2 Scholarship: $6,000 annually {3.8–4.0 GPA}
iii. Merit Tier 3 Scholarship: $4,000 annually {3.3–3.79 GPA}
iv. Merit Tier 4 Scholarship: $3,000 annually {3.0–3.29 GPA}
v. Madison County Promise: $1,000 annually {2.5 – 2.9 GPA, Must be from Madison County}

Scholarship Application Guide: 
There is no separate scholarship application; simply apply for admission and be admitted to EKU by April 15th to be considered for a merit scholarship.
