Scholarship Summary: 
The Dean’s Scholarships at Bangor University are available for international students starting an undergraduate starting in September 2024 or postgraduate taught course in September 2024 and January 2025. The Deans Scholarship is merit-based and aimed at students demonstrating academic excellence in their current or previous studies.

Scholarship Applicant Criteria: 
A number of criteria will be taken into account when awarding this scholarship including Course Choice, Academic Performance, Personal Statement, Academic References, Skills and Experience, Domicile. The scholarship will be awarded entirely at the University's discretion and is not guaranteed to each student.

As a guide, the following qualifications are required for consideration;
i. For Undergraduates: have already achieved or are predicted to achieve an A grade or equivalent in at least 50% of their subjects/courses
ii. For Postgraduates: already achieved or are on track to achieve equivalent of a UK 1st class Bachelors degree
iii. Available for all undergraduate courses starting in September 2024 and postgraduate taught courses starting in September 2024 and January 2025

Value of Scholarship: 
The Bangor Dean’s Scholarship is valued as follows;
i. For Undergraduates: Up to £6,000 for Year 1 only
ii. For Postgraduates: Up to £5,000

The scholarship is for the first year of study only, there are no scholarships available for subsequent years.

Scholarship Application Guide: 
All international applicants will be considered for these scholarships when they submit their application to study at Bangor University through the Bangor application portal or UCAS. The outcome will be confirmed in the Offer Letter. No additional scholarship application is required.
