Scholarship Summary:
CMU Academic Entrance Scholarships are given to full-time Canadian students on the basis of academic achievement in high school. No application for these scholarships is necessary.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must;
i. Be first-year students entering CMU Undergraduate on-campus programs who have completed high school within the previous five years and have completed no more than nine credit hours at another post-secondary institution.
ii. Be Canadian citizens or equivalent to qualify.
iii. Have a minimum admission average of 85% (the percentage will be calculated on the basis of the top five approved courses taken in Senior 3 or Grade 11. Of the five approved courses, at least one must be an English course and one must be a math or science).
Value of Scholarship:
The CMU Academic Entrance Scholarships are valued as follows;
i. Admission Average of 95 – 100%: CAD$3,000
ii. Admission Average of 90 – 94.9%: CAD$2,000
iii. Admission Average of 85 – 89.9%: CAD$1,000
Returning students who maintained a grade point average of 3.8 or higher in an academic year will receive a $1,000 Academic Excellence scholarship for the following academic year. A full-time study for this award is 12 credit hours per semester.
