Scholarship Summary: 
The Terence Grier Entrance Scholarship honours the achievements of Ryerson's President, from 1988-1995 and is awarded to one student (Canadian citizens and permanent residents) who exemplifies his leadership qualities. 

Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must;
i. Have a minimum admission average of 85%. An applicant's average is calculated with their best six Grade 12 U/M courses.

Value of Scholarship: 
The Terence Grier Entrance Scholarship covers the cost of tuition for the first year and is non-renewable.

Scholarship Application Guide: 
To apply,
i. Submit a complete application for admission into TMU.
ii. Once you have received your Student Number, activate your online identity, if you have not done so already, to access AwardSpring.
iii. Log on to AwardSpring and complete the general application to be matched and considered for entrance scholarships.
iv. On your AwardSpring dashboard, you will only see entrance scholarships that you are qualified for and you will have the ability to complete follow-ups for those opportunities such as written statements, letters of references and more!
v. The Terence Grier Entrance application will ask that you to include the following: 
   1. A Personal Statement
   2. Two (2) Letters of Reference:
  • academic reference that confirms your scholastic abilities and success 
  • a reference letter that supports your exceptional aptitude in your chosen field of study.
vi. Upon completing the follow-ups for an entrance scholarship, you can continue to check on AwardSpring for a decision on your application. Please monitor your personal email and Student Portal for updates regarding scholarship decisions.
