Scholarship Summary: 
Meredith College (a women’s college) offers the Presidential Scholarship to exceptional incoming freshmen (domestic). It is a four-year, merit-based scholarship that is awarded based on superior academic achievement, intellectual promise, and leadership ability.

Scholarship Applicant Criteria: 
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must;
i. Obtain a min. high school GPA of 4.3 (weighted)
ii. Obtain a minimum score of 1480 on the SAT test or 33 on the ACT test
iii. Demonstrated leadership in high school, the local community, and beyond

Value of Scholarship: 
The Presidential Scholarship covers the cost of full tuition annually and international study. Its estimated value is $170,000 over four years.

Scholarship Application Guide: 
To apply, 
Step 1. Admitted Students meeting baseline criteria are invited to apply for admission to the Honors program - Apply Online. The deadline to apply for the Honors Program is January 15.
Step 2. Applicants who meet the criteria and show promise to be successful in Meredith’s Honors Program are invited to interview with a faculty member and a current Honors student at Scholars Day.
Step 3. Essays are reviewed by the director of the Honors program and, in some cases, by one additional faculty member.
Step 4. Final decisions on admission to Honors are made by the director of the Honors program.
Step 5. Applicants selected to interview for the Meredith College Presidential Scholarship are chosen from the Honors applicant pool.
Step 6. Program applicants who are selected to interview for the Presidential Scholarship will be notified prior to attending Scholars’ Day. Presidential Scholarship interviews occur with faculty, administrators and the President of Meredith.
