Scholarship Summary:
The Southampton Presidential Scholarship is a prestigious award available to international students who will start their course in 2024 and study for either an undergraduate degree or postgraduate master’s degree.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible, you must:
• Be paying overseas fees
• Be self-funded
• Have an offer to study at the University of Southampton
Value of Scholarship:
If your application is successful, you will be awarded with either;
i. £10,000 off your tuition fees
ii. 100% off
NOTES:
- Scholarships for undergraduate study will cover each year of undergraduate study.
- Scholarships for postgraduate study will cover the first year of postgraduate study.
- There are 25 scholarships available in total, (10 100% fee awards and 15 £10,000 fee awards).
The amount you are awarded will depend on your application.
Scholarship Application Guide:
To apply for the scholarship you must complete and submit the online application form.
As part of your application, you will need to answer 4 questions on how your studies at Southampton can make a contribution to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
1. Which UN Sustainable Development Goals are relevant to your expected programme of study and why? (100 words maximum, per goal).
2. How will your intended course make a contribution to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals? (250 words maximum).
3. We are looking for scholars who will use their time at Southampton to achieve the remarkable and build an inclusive world. How will your future goals and how your chosen course at Southampton help you achieve that? (200 words maximum).
4. As a Southampton Presidential International scholar how might you act as an ambassador for the University? (200 words maximum).
