Scholarship Summary:
The St. Lawrence Presidential Diversity Scholarship is a prestigious scholarship for domestic students that come from a broad range of background experiences and have a variety of social identities such as but are not limited to:
i. Race/ethnicity
ii. Sexual orientation
iii. Gender identity
iv. Ability
v. Religious identity
vi. Socioeconomic status
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
For top consideration, applicants of this scholarship should;
i. Demonstrate acknowledgement, activism and appreciation for diversity awareness. This could include:
- Impactful leadership
- Commitment and activism for diversity awareness
- Appreciation within their community for diversity awareness
Value of Scholarship:
The Presidential Diversity Scholarship is valued as $35,000 per year, totaling $140,000 over four years.
Once on campus, Presidential Diversity Scholars participate in activities planned for this group of students coordinated by the Associate Dean of Diversity and Inclusion and are highly encouraged to become active members of student clubs and organizations committed to inclusivity, community-based learning, volunteer service, and student government.
