Scholarship Summary:
The means-tested scholarship provides a £25,000 tuition fee waiver for a full-time or part-time taught master's course at one of UAL's Colleges and Institutes. Up to 5 UAL International Postgraduate £25,000 Scholarships are available for students from selected countries.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, you have to meet the following criteria
Criteria 1: You must hold an offer to study a full-time taught master’s course at one of UAL’s 6 Colleges starting in 2025/26.
- Your course must offer either a Grad Dip, M ARCH, MA, MFA, MBA, MRes or MSc qualification and be offered at one of UAL’s Colleges or Institutes.
- You are not eligible to apply if you already hold a UK postgraduate taught qualification (or one at an equivalent level) from studies undertaken in the UK or abroad.
Criteria 2: You need to be domiciled in one of the following selected countries: Brazil, Colombia, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Thailand, Turkey or South Africa.
- Evidence such as formal proof of your address must be included as part of your application.
Criteria 3: Your annual household income must be £55,000 or less (or the equivalent exchange value in a qualifying country’s currency) at the point of application.
Criteria 4: You must provide a personal statement as part of your scholarship application which responds to the following questions (maximum 350 words per question):
- Describe how receiving a postgraduate scholarship would make a difference to you.
- Tell how you intend to use the qualification you will be gaining to support your future plans.
- Describe how you would use the qualification to address challenges faced by society in your home country upholding the values of social justice and environmental stewardship.
- Confirm any other sources of funding you have, or have applied for, to meet the cost of your studies in the UK.
Criteria 5: Supporting evidence
Value of Scholarship:
The UAL International Postgraduate Scholarship is valued as £25,000. Please note that this scholarship award is a contribution towards tuition fees only.
Scholarship Application Guide:
i. Once you've received an offer to study at UAL, the ‘my finance and funding’ tab on your applicant portal will be updated from mid-January onwards to include application forms for scholarships you may be eligible for.
ii. If you submit a scholarship application, you will be emailed after the deadline has passed to be told the outcome of your application.
iii. Scholarships are awarded by a UAL selection panel, who make their decision based on the evidence provided in your application.
iv. If your application is successful, you will be sent an award letter via email and if you want to accept the scholarship, you will be required to accept on your UAL Portal.
