Scholarship Summary:
UNO is awarding a host of academic scholarships to outstanding freshmen students (domestic and international) entering in the fall semester.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must;
For domestic students
i. Have 20 ACT/1030 SAT and 2.75 GPA
OR
ii. Have a 3.00 - 3.29, Non-weighted, Cumulative GPA only
For International students
i. Have 2.5 Non-weighted Cumulative GPA
Value of Scholarship:
The UNO Freshman Academic Scholarships are valued as follows;
For Domestic students
i. President: $20,000 over four years {30 ACT/1360 SAT and 3.0 GPA OR 3.90 - 4.00, Non-weighted, Cumulative GPA only}
ii. Provost: $16,000 over four years {26 ACT/1230 SAT and 3.0 GPA OR 3.60 - 3.89, Non-weighted, Cumulative GPA only}
iii. Dean: $12,000 over four years {24 ACT/1200 SAT and 2.75 GPA OR 3.30 - 3.59, Non-weighted, Cumulative GPA only}
iv. Academic: $4,000 over four years {20 ACT/1030 SAT and 2.75 GPA OR 3.00 - 3.29, Non-weighted, Cumulative GPA only}
For International students
i. International Tuition Award: up to $2,000/year (up to $8,000 over four years) {3.0 Non-weighted Cumulative GPA}
ii. International Book Award: up to $1,000 {One year award limit) {2.5 Non-weighted Cumulative GPA}
Scholarship Application Guide:
Scholarships are awarded based on academic credentials and student accomplishments reviewed through the admission's process. A separate scholarship application is not required, but ACT or SAT test scores and an official, current high school transcript should be submitted as soon as possible.
