Scholarship Summary:
High school seniors (US citizens and residents only) of exceptional academic ability are eligible to apply for admission to the James Graham Brown Honors Program. Students accepted into the Honors Program will participate in a special program of Honors Seminars, Community Experience, and have the opportunity for advanced research (a Fellowship) in their majors under the direction of Honors professors.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must have the following;
i. Minimum GPA of 4.0 or 3.6 GPA with 29 ACT/ 1330 SAT/ 90 CLT
ii. Completed and filed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFA)
Value of Scholarship:
The James Graham Brown scholarship is a full tuition guarantee offered to the top 2 candidates when combined with other scholarships and aid. Other applicants offered admission to the program may receive James Graham Brown funding, amounts vary.
Scholarship Application Guide:
To apply;
i. Complete the application for fall admission and be accepted; you must submit all of your application materials by the deadline in order to be considered.
Materials required include:
o online application form (fill out the form and check your email for a reply);
o three letters of recommendation;
o essay on the assigned topic;
o two-minute audio or video self-interview; and
o chart listing significant community service.
iii. Selected finalists who show the highest scholastic ability based on the above, as well as outstanding character and personal qualities that enhance the Honors Program, will be invited to an in-person interview on Friday 26 January 2024; finalists should expect their interview invitation before 19 January.
