Scholarship Summary:
If you're an international student from an eligible Asian country (eligible countries listed below) and you're funding your own studies, you could be eligible for a scholarship which you'll receive as a tuition fee discount in your first year.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
You must meet all of the following conditions;
i. be classified as an international student for fee purposes
ii. be fully self-funding your studies
iii. be ordinarily resident in any of the following countries;
- South Asia - Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka
- South East Asia - Brunei, Cambodia, East Timor, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, The Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam
- Central Asia - Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan
iv. be admitted into the first year of an undergraduate degree course in 2024-25
v. must make Essex your firm choice on UCAS by 12 July 2024
Value of Scholarship:
The Essex Asian Regional scholarship is offered as follows;
i. South Asia Scholarship: £4,000 tuition fee discount in your first year
ii. South East Asia Scholarship: £3,000 tuition fee discount in your first year
ii. Central Asia Scholarship: £3,000 tuition fee discount in your first year
Scholarship Application Guide:
If you meet all the eligibility criteria, you will automatically be considered for this award. You don’t need to complete an application form.
