If you've got a minimum of 2:1 from a UK university, you could be eligible for a discount on your Essex Masters tuition fee with the Masters Excellence Scholarship.

You must meet all of the following conditions;
i. Be classified as a Home student for fee purposes
ii. Be entirely self-funding your studies
iii. Have been awarded at least a 2:1 in a Bachelor's degree from a UK university
iv. Students must register at the University of Essex in October 2026 or January 2027 for the first year of a full-time Masters course in academic year 2026-27 only, leading to the degree of:
i. Be classified as a Home student for fee purposes
ii. Be entirely self-funding your studies
iii. Have been awarded at least a 2:1 in a Bachelor's degree from a UK university
iv. Students must register at the University of Essex in October 2026 or January 2027 for the first year of a full-time Masters course in academic year 2026-27 only, leading to the degree of:
- MA, MSc, LLM, MFA, MPP, MBM
Value of Scholarship:
The Masters Excellence Scholarship is valued as follows;
i. 2:1 qualification: 15% discount
ii. 1:1 qualification: 25% tuition discount.
