Scholarship Summary:
Bursaries of up to £1,750 for each year of study are available to students from the rest of the UK (RUK) who are commencing their undergraduate studies in the September term and whose household income is assessed as less than £34,000 per year.
The bursary is intended to help you with university costs such as accommodation, food and books, and is paid directly into your bank account.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible, you must meet all of the following conditions:
• Have been classified as rest of UK (RUK) fee status by Abertay University.
• Have received an offer of a place for entry to Abertay University as a full time undergraduate student in September.
• Have registered at Abertay University for your course in September.
• Be assessed by the Student Loans Company (SLC) as having a verified household income less than £34,000 per year
• Be resident in the UK.
• Be applying for your first undergraduate degree.
Value of Scholarship:
The Abertay RUK Bursary is valued as up to £1,750/year.
The bursary is paid into your bank account in two installments (end of October/end of February). You can also choose to take the award as a discount from either tuition fees or university accommodation.

When you apply to the Student Loans Company for a student loan, they will assess your household income.
If you meet the eligibility criteria outlined above, the University will send you an email confirming the award of the bursary and ask you to confirm your acceptance. Please reply if you wish to accept this award.
