Scholarship Summary:
Ontario Tech University is awarding two prestigious international entrance awards and it recognizes international secondary-school applicants with strong academic and leadership abilities.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, an applicant must;
• Be in their final year of secondary school, entering their first undergraduate university degree at the university on a study permit.
• Be studying in a secondary school outside of Canada.
• Demonstrate personal leadership and excellence in extracurricular activities beyond academic requirements, and/or significant contributions to their community or family.
• Have an excellent academic record—an 'A' average or equivalent grading based on their secondary school evaluation.
• Be attending the university from secondary school within 18 months of graduation
• Be enrolled in a minimum 80 percent course load (per term)
Value of Scholarship:
The Ontario Tech International Major Entrance Scholarship is valued as follows;
i. Global Leadership Award: CAD$120,000 {CAD30,000 a year for four years}
Scholarship Application Guide:
To apply;
i. Apply through the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre by January 31 to be considered for admission to all programs.
ii. Complete the online scholarship application. Printed application forms will be discarded.
iii. Submit scholarship reference forms, submitted by your two referees only. Please ensure you send the link to your references to complete. They will require your student ID and email address in order to submit their reference on your behalf.
iv. Applications must be submitted no later than February 15. Late or incomplete applications will not be reviewed, nor will applicants be notified.
v. Successful applicants will be notified in early June.
