The VIU Scholarship, Award and Bursary Program is an application that provides eligible VIU students (domestic and international) the opportunity to be considered for a variety of internal scholarships, awards and bursaries every year.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To qualify for a scholarship, students must meet the following:
i. Achieve a minimum semester and cumulative GPA of 3.50 (A- average)
ii. Maintain a minimum semester course load of 80% (12 credits for most programs)
iii. Grade 12 graduate students commencing full-time studies at VIU within the upcoming year or
iv. Students enrolling in a university program for the first time since high school
To qualify for an award, students must meet the following:
i. Achieve a minimum semester and cumulative GPA of 3.0 (B+ average)
ii. Maintain a minimum semester course load of 60% (9 credits for most programs)
iii. Grade 12 graduate students commencing full-time studies at VIU within the upcoming year or
iv. Students enrolling in a university program for the first time since high school
