Scholarship Summary: 
The VIU Scholarship, Award and Bursary Program is an application/profile that provides eligible VIU students (domestic and international) the opportunity to be considered for a variety of internal scholarships, awards and bursaries every year. 

Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To qualify for a scholarship, students must meet the following:
i. Achieve a minimum semester and cumulative GPA of 3.50 (A- average)
ii. Maintain a minimum semester course load of 80% (12 credits for most programs)
iii. Grade 12 graduate students commencing full-time studies at VIU within the upcoming year or
iv. Students enrolling in a university program for the first time since high school

To qualify for an award, students must meet the following:
i. Achieve a minimum semester and cumulative GPA of 3.0 (B+ average)
ii. Maintain a minimum semester course load of 60% (9 credits for most programs)
iii. Grade 12 graduate students commencing full-time studies at VIU within the upcoming year or
iv. Students enrolling in a university program for the first time since high school

Scholarship Application Guide: 
To apply;
i. Complete an application for admission into VIU.
ii. Students must then complete their Scholarship, Award & Bursary Profile from their student record between early September and March 30 Noon.
iii. Log onto your  VIU Student Record 
iv. Click on "Finances" tab and then choose Scholarship / Award / Bursary Profile
v. Answer questions relevant to you and upload any supporting information
vi. Click Save (last information saved will be used for selections)

Important: Your VIU student record information must be accurate and current, including your mailing address, email, phone number, photo ID and security question. Keeping this information accurate is important.
