MSU awards the MSU Non-Resident Scholarship to a limited number of incoming freshmen (domestic out-of-state and international)

Scholarship Applicant Criteria:

For Domestic Out-of-State

Students with a GPA of 3.4 or higher on a 4.0 scale are guaranteed a minimum of $7,000

For International

The MSU Non-Resident Scholarship is awarded to a limited number of incoming international freshmen based on academic performance, student involvement, the application essay, English proficiency and geographic diversity. Awarding is competitive and the highest level of MSU Non-Resident Scholarship is typically limited to students in the top 5% of MSU’s applicant pool.

Value of Scholarship:

The MSU Non-Resident Scholarship has various award levels namely;

For Domestic Out-of-State:

i. President's Scholarship: $15,000

ii. Provost's Scholarship: $12,000

iii. Dean's Scholarship: $10,000

iv. 1855 Scholarship: $7,000

For International:

i. President’s Scholarship: $15,000

ii. Provost's Scholarship: $12,000

iii. Dean's Scholarship: $10,000

iv. 1855 Scholarship: $7,000

v. Beaumont Tower Scholarship: $5,000

vi. Global Community Scholars Scholarship: $3,000
