Scholarship Summary:
Incoming domestic freshman who are not residents of Louisiana, are automatically considered for for the Bulldog Out-of-state fee scholarship after being admitted into Louisiana Tech University. International students may be eligible for this Scholarship if they meet the criteria outlined below.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
For Out-of-state freshmen, applicants;
i. Must be admitted.
ii. Earn a 2.5 Overall GPA (on a 4.0 unweighted scale
iii. Earn an ACT 23 or 1130 new SAT (ERW+M)
For International students, applicants must have;
i. Minimum TOEFL score of 550 paper, 213 computer, 79 internet based or IELTS Band 6.5, or completed ELS level 112; or ACT of 23; or SAT of 1130;
ii. Have completed a recognized secondary program comparable to U.S. high school graduation with a cumulative high school GPA of 2.5 or higher;
iii. Have no need for remedial course work
Value of Scholarship:
The Bulldog Out-of-State Scholarship covers the out-of-state tuition and fees annually.
In addition to the Bulldog Scholarship, out-of-state domestic students also qualify for merit-based scholarships.

Incoming freshmen should apply for admission by the priority deadline of January 15 of their senior year. No separate scholarship application is needed, but ACT or SAT scores and high school transcript with GPA and rank (if applicable) should be submitted.
