Iowa State is committed to enrolling a diverse and talented student population and is thus awarding a limited number of merit scholarships to international freshmen. Scholarship selection is competitive and based on a holistic review.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be considered for scholarships, applicants must;
i. Offered admission to Iowa State University as an international first-year student.
ii. Assessed international tuition rates
iii. Accept your offer of admission by the above deadline (fall)
Value of Scholarship:
The ISU International Freshman Scholarships are valued as follows;
i. Award of Achievement: $5,000 – $10,000/year
ii. Award of Distinction: $2,000 – $4,000/year
Recipients will be funded for a maximum of 8 semesters, or completion of the degree, whichever comes first provided a minimum cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.5 and continuous enrollment in a minimum of 12 semester credits each semester (summers not included) are met.
