Scholarship Summary: 
All freshmen (domestic and international) who are fully admitted, will be automatically evaluated for awards based on the admission application. Admission awards are determined by many factors including, but not limited to, the highest composite test score and the unweighted high school GPA.

Scholarship Applicant Criteria: 
There are no set criteria for consideration but past recipients were in the top 50% of the applicant pool.

Value of Scholarship: 
The Admission Awards are valued as follows;
i. The Provost Award: Annual amounts are typically $1,000 for Colorado Residents and $6,000 - $10,000 for non-residents.
ii. The President’s Merit Scholarship: Colorado resident scholarship annual amounts range from $2,500 - $6,000 while non-resident annual amounts range between $12,000 and $14,000. 
iii. The Mines Promise Program is a full-tuition and fees scholarship for Colorado residents using the admission application and a Pell Grant based on the FAFSA or CAFSA. A FAFSA/CAFSA is required to renew this scholarship.
iv. International First-Year Students are eligible for up to $8,000 in an admissions award.
