Scholarship Summary: 
The Oberlin Midwest Merit Scholarship recognizes the academic and musical excellence of top students from the Midwest region by granting substantial aid to all admitted students from Oberlin’s home state of Ohio as well as 11 additional Midwestern states: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.

Scholarship Applicant Criteria: 
To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must;
i. Either permanently reside or graduate from a high school in the following states: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, or Wisconsin
ii. Be first-year or transfer student entering for the first time in fall 2026
iii. Be enrolling in Oberlin’s College of Arts and Sciences and/or Conservatory of Music

Value of Scholarship: 
All new enrolling students from these states will automatically qualify to receive $25,000 each year, for a total of $100,000 over four years.
