Kutztown University (KU) is delighted to offer Need-Based Tuition Waivers to incoming international freshmen, based on financial need. Please note that only a limited number of tuition waivers are available to new incoming undergraduate international students so it’s advised to apply early.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration for a Kutztown International Student Tuition Waiver, you must;
i. Be an incoming international freshman
ii. Demonstrate financial need
iii. Have an above-average academic achievement
iv. Be admitted to an undergraduate degree program at Kutztown University
Renewal Criteria
- Students must maintain a 2.0 GPA
- Students must maintain full-time student status and earn 24 credits in a year
- Students must complete 5 volunteer hours for the International Office each academic year.
Value of Scholarship:
The Kutztown International Need-Based Tuition Waiver is namely as follows;
i. International Avalanche Award: $2,000 - $4,000 annually

iv. Awarded students must pay their $300 Registration Deposit by May 1st (Fall entry term) or the student forfeits the award.
