Scholarship Summary:
The UTK Tennessee Explore Scholarship program exclusively recognizes out-of-state domestic and international students with an excellent academic record and rewards with a merit scholarship.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for the Explore Scholarship, you must;
• Matriculate the fall semester immediately following your high school graduation
• Obtain a minimum 3.6 high school GPA (UT Converted & Weighted Core GPA)
• Have a minimum 24 ACT or 1160 SAT
New test scores to determine eligibility for the Explore Scholarship must be received by July 1.
In order to keep the Explore Scholarship, you’re required to:
• Maintain a 3.0 cumulative grade point average (GPA) and federal Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)
• Maintain full-time enrollment throughout each semester
Value of Scholarship:
The UTK Explore Scholarships are valued as follows;
i. $3,000 (3.6+ GPA AND 26–27 ACT/ 1230–1290 SAT)
ii. $5,000 (3.8+ GPA AND 26–27 ACT/ 1230–1290 SAT)
iii. $6,500 (3.6-3.79 GPA AND 28–36 ACT/ 1300–1600 SAT)
This scholarship cannot be combined with the Volunteer Scholarship.
