Scholarship Summary:
College of Charleston’s Merit Scholarships are offered to first-time entering freshmen (domestic and international) based on a holistic scholarship review process. Please note that multiple factors will be considered when assessing scholarship awards.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
There are no set criteria but the academic credentials of the students at the time of admission, prior academic and community service involvement will be considered in the selection process.
All students must enroll full-time (12 hours) each semester in order to be eligible for any scholarship funds.
Value of Scholarship:
The College of Charleston Merit Scholarships vary in amount and will be automatically applied to the tuition cost. College of Charleston requires students meet renewal criteria for all merit scholarships.
Notes:
- Non-resident scholarships (both merit-based and need-based) are available to out-of-state students and covers part of the difference between in-state and out-of-state tuition.
- International students can expect to receive a minimum of $5,000 and have the opportunity to be considered for additional awards based on factors within a student’s application.
Scholarship Application Guide:
There is no separate scholarship application; students that apply to CofC by January 15th will still be considered for merit, need-base ; no separate scholarship application is required.
