Scholarship Summary: 
QUT is committed to growing the number of graduating female (Australian and New Zealand) technologists and fostering the view of science, mathematics and IT as a career choice for women and will be awarding the Women in Science, Mathematics and IT Merit Scholarship to eligible, top-performing female undergraduates. 

Scholarship Applicant Criteria: 
You must:
•  have completed Year 12 (or a gap year) in 2023
•  be starting university for the first time in 2024
•  identify as female
•  be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or a permanent resident, or hold a permanent humanitarian visa
•  have achieved a minimum unadjusted ATAR of 90.0 or above
•  have placed QUT as your first preference on your QTAC application
•  be applying to start one of:
   o a double degree including one of the above.

Value of Scholarship: 
15 available Women in Science, Mathematics and IT Merit scholarships include:
•  Scholarships valued at $7,500 paid over three years for an eligible bachelor degree in the Faculty of Science
•  Scholarships valued at $10,000 paid over four years for an eligible major in the Bachelor of Science Advanced (Honours).

Other benefits include automatic entry into QUT's College of Excellence.

Scholarship Application Guide: 
You do not need to complete a scholarship application for the Women in Science, Mathematics and IT scholarship. All eligible students who complete a QTAC application in line with QTAC key dates will be considered based on academic performance and gender.

Due to the large number of eligible commencing students, only students who are successful in being offered one of the 15 available scholarships will be notified.
