'24 University of Central Oklahoma Freshmen Leadership Award (US Based)

Scholarship Summary: 
Incoming domestic freshman students, who are active in student organizations and can demonstrate community involvement, will be eligible for the Leadership Scholarship at UCO.

Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must;
i. Have a 3.0 cumulative high school GPA, and 20 ACT 
ii. Be active in a minimum of two organizations on their high school campus or in their local community

Value of Scholarship: 
The UCO Freshmen Leadership Scholarships are valued as follows;
A. President’s Leadership Scholarship
  1. 12-hour tuition waiver each semester
  2. Yearly $2,250.00 housing and meal waiver contract for Murdaugh, West Hall, The Quad, or Suites with active participation in a housing activity/organization. 
  3. A one-time study abroad, study tour, or alternative fall break is also awarded during the four-year program: $500-$1,000
B. Leaders of Tomorrow Council Scholarship
  1. Nine-hour tuition waiver per semester
  2. Yearly $1,250.00 housing stipend contract for Murduagh, West Hall, The Quad, or Suites with active participation in a housing activity/organization.
  3. A one-time stipend for a study abroad, study tour, or alternative fall break experience is also awarded: $500-$1,000
The above scholarships can be renewable for up to four years for incoming freshmen, up to three years for continuing and two years for transfer. All are contingent upon review.

Scholarship Application Guide: 
To apply;
i. Incoming freshman can apply for leadership scholarships after they submit their general UCO application for admission
ii. Eligible students will be emailed a link to the leadership scholarship application upon submission of their UCO application. 
iii. All students are required to complete the FAFSA to be considered for institutional scholarships.
iv. The selection process includes a review of the submitted application and an interview for finalists by a committee comprised of Leadership Central and other university staff. If selected for an interview, you will be contacted at the end of February.
