Alvernia University offers scholarships to each admitted international freshman wishing to earn an undergraduate degree as a traditional day student at the main Reading campus.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for an international student scholarship, an applicant must;
• Be a full-time, degree-seeking international undergraduate student attending mostly daytime classes.
• Have earned a minimum 3.0 overall cumulative GPA by the scholarship application deadline.
• Meet English proficiency and financial specifications.
Value of Scholarship:
The Alvernia International First-Year Scholarships are namely as follows;
i. Presidential Scholarship: $26,000/year
ii. Trustees' Scholarship: $25,000/year
iii. Veronica Founder's Scholarship: $23,000/year
iv. Achievement Scholarship: $21,000/year
v. Heritage Scholarship: $19,000/year
The above scholarships are renewable as long as recipients maintain a 3.0 cumulative grade point average, continue be a full time student and engage in service to the University and the community.
