Scholarship Summary:
Each year, accepted domestic students with high academic success are invited to the University of Hartford’s Scholarship Competition for National Honors recognition. The scholarships empower students from varied backgrounds and interests to make the most of their UHart experience.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be considered for the annual scholarship competition, students should;
i. Apply to UHart and submit all supplemental materials by early December.
ii. Demonstrate exceptional academic ability
Value of Scholarship:
These Competition Scholarships reach up to full tuition and are renewable for four years when the recipient maintains a 3.25 cumulative GPA.
All scholarship competition participants will receive an additional $1,000 toward their existing academic award.
Scholarship Application Guide:
i. Upon admission, qualifying candidates will be notified for the competition in December via email.
ii. The competition includes three components:
- Attend the in-person kick-off event.
- Participate in an in-person interview with one of our expert faculty members.
- Complete the competition essay virtually. Additional information regarding the essay requirement will be shared with participants prior to the event.
