Scholarship Summary: 
Supported by a gift from the Harold Alfond Foundation, the Alfond Scholars Program annually awards up to 10 full scholarships to entering first-year students (domestic and international) in the College of Liberal Arts at Rollins College with the desire and commitment to pursue additional prestigious recognition such as Rhodes, Goldwater, or Truman scholarships during their undergraduate years. All admission applicants who submit all application materials by the Priority Scholarship Deadline (Nov. 15) are considered for Alfond Scholarships on the basis of their overall academic record. 

Scholarship Applicant Criteria: 
To be eligible for the scholarship, you must;
i. earn a 3.8+ high school GPA
ii. score at least 32 on the ACT test or 1450 on the SAT test

Please note that the strength of high school curriculum and extracurricular involvement are also important factors in our holistic review process.

Value of Scholarship: 
The Alfond Scholarship covers tuition, double room, and unlimited board and is renewable for three additional years, bringing the value of each scholarship to more than $280,000 over four years. 

This scholarship is annually renewable with a 3.33 GPA and completion of 24 credit hours each year.

Scholarship Application Guide: 
To apply;
i. Complete Application for Admission to Rollins College including application, SAT and/or ACT test scores, school transcript, personal statement or essay, secondary school report, and counsellor recommendation must be on file with the Office of Admission.
ii. In late December, Alfond Scholarship finalists are identified from the applicant pool; Scholars Weekend invitations are mailed to students, invited to participate in the on-campus selection process.
iii. In late February, Scholars Weekend is held at Rollins College where finalists compete for Alfond Scholarships, increased Dean’s Scholarships, Cram Scholarships, and invitations to the Honors Degree Program.
iv. Alfond Scholarship Recipients will be notified in Mid March
