A set of renewable scholarships and grants at Ohio University has been designed to recognize the resilience, accomplishments, and diverse contributions of the entering first-year class (domestic and international). The new and expanded program underscores OHIO's commitment to support its students from admission through graduation and beyond.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
There are no set criteria but factors considered in awarding the OHIO Excellence Awards include academic achievement, financial need, and individual contributions to the incoming first-year class.
Value of Scholarship:
The Ohio University Freshmen Excellence Awards are namely as follows;
I. Ohio Excellence Scholarship: up to $6,500
II. Ohio Trustee Award for Out-of-State Students
III. OHIO Admission Promise Award: $2,000
IV. Ohio Forward Scholarship (FAFSA required)
V. Ohio Forward Award (FAFSA required)
VI. Ohio Russ Vision Award (for students enrolling into the Russ College of Engineering and Technology)
