Scholarship Summary:
FIU is committed to attracting and rewarding domestic and international applicants with a high academic record. The First-Year Merit Scholarships are competitive and are awarded to the top students of the applicant pool each year.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for the scholarship, you must;
For Ambassador Merit
i. earn a 4.0 high school GPA
ii. score at least 28 on the ACT test or 1270 on the SAT test
Value of Scholarship:
This First-Year Merit Scholarships are awarded as follows;
i. The Ambassador Merit Award covers the cost of 75% tuition, fees plus a book stipend.
Scholarship Application Guide:
i. Students must be admitted to FIU by November 15 for Early Fall admission. Students are strongly encouraged to submit a completed admissions application by October 15th to allow time for the application to be processed.
ii. Scholarship applications are found at the FIU Academic Works website (Ambassador) and must be completed no later than December 4, 2023. A complete scholarship application consists of two letters of recommendation and an essay in response to a prompt.
