Scholarship Summary:
As a commitment to academic excellence, University of Nebraska-Lincoln is delighted to award several academic merit-based scholarships to high-achieving Nebraska non-resident students to offset the cost of out-of-state tuition and thus can only be applied to non-resident University of Nebraska–Lincoln tuition.

Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
A competitive UNL Non-resident Scholar;
i. demonstrates superior academic potential and 
ii. has a minimum 24 ACT (or SAT equivalent) and 
iii. an outstanding high school grade point average or excellent class rank (Min. 3.00 GPA) 

Value of Scholarship:
The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Academic Merit Scholarships are valued as follows;
i. New Nebraskan Tuition Scholarship - $15,000 to $20,000/year (toward tuition)
ii. Nebraska Legacy Tuition Scholarship - up to $14,000/year for out-of-state students with a parent alumnus who have demonstrated academic accomplishment (toward tuition)
iii. Husker Salute Pledge - Waiver of Non-resident Portion of Tuition for out-of-state students in recognition of a student or family military connection who has demonstrated their ability to succeed at Nebraska (estimated at $19,230)
iv. National First Responder Pledge -Waiver of Non-resident Portion of Tuition for out-of-state students who are first responders (or their dependent children) and demonstrated their ability to succeed at Nebraska (estimated at $19,230)

Scholarship Application Guide:
To apply;
1. by the stated deadlines 
2. Complete the ACT/SAT on or before the February national test date and submit scores to Nebraska.
3. Upload a current unofficial high school transcript and submit your Enrollment Deposit in MyRED by May 1.
4.  Submit your final high school transcript in MyRED by June 1.
