Scholarship Summary:
The University of New Mexico offers “Beca México” to all Mexican citizens admitted to a full-time, in-person undergraduate or graduate academic program. This scholarship emphasizes UNM’s commitment to international education and honors its shared cultural and historical heritage with Mexico.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
Mexican students who are interested in this scholarship;
i. Must fulfil the international admission requirements for The University of New Mexico
ii. Identify themselves as Mexican citizens.
iii. Obtain a minimum 2.5 high school GPA on a US Scale
Value of Scholarship:
The UNM ‘Beca Mexico’ Scholarship reduces Non-Resident Tuition Rate to 1.5 Times Resident Rate Tuition, which is approximately $17,597 and $10,134 discounted off of the non-resident tuition rate for undergraduate and postgraduate study respectively.
Scholarship Application Guide:
There is no separate scholarship application; this scholarship is granted automatically to Mexican students who are and cannot be combined with other discounts or scholarship.
