Bethel University is awarding the Physics & Engineering Scholarship to deserving incoming domestic students planning to pursue a primary major in the Department of Physics and Engineering at Bethel starting in the fall.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
At the time that Bethel reviews the student's admission portfolio, scholarship applicants must;
• be U.S. citizens or permanent residents, and
• be high school seniors during the 2025-2026 school year, and
• have an unweighted high school grade point average of at least 3.50 (4.0 scale), and
• Although there is no ACT or SAT score requirement, the strength of the application will be greatly enhanced by a good ACT or SAT score
• Apply for a primary major in the Department of Physics and Engineering at Bethel
Please note, the B.S. in Software Engineering is not an eligible program for this scholarship.
Value of Scholarship:
The Physics & Engineering Scholarship is valued as $5,000 annually. Please note that the scholarship is non-renewable; however, the department does have additional scholarships designed for continuing students after completion of the first year.
Recipients of the first-year Physics and Engineering Program Scholarship will also be considered for Bethel's Academic Achievement Scholarship, other merit scholarships and need-based grants.

1. Submit the Bethel by the deadline.
The following elements will be required for submission:
- List of all the science and mathematics courses not listed on your current transcript that you will complete before you graduate from high school.
- Explain what appeals to you about Bethel’s physics and engineering programs.
- Provide the name, email address, and discipline of a teacher who would provide a letter of recommendation for you if you are selected as a finalist. Only finalists will have their reference contacted.
- Upload a resume.
Initial scholarship offers will be made by March 1, 2026.
