Scholarship Summary:
NMSU is awarding the President’s Scholarship to 10 domestic freshmen students with exceptional academic records.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must;
i. Obtain a minimum ACT: 27-36 and minimum 3.75 GPA
ii. Be accepted for admission by the 3rd Thursday of January - Must be enrolled for Fall.
Value of Scholarship:
The President’s Scholarship is valued as $8,000/year and is renewable if 3.50 Northwest cumulative GPA and completion of 24 credit hours per academic year are met.
This scholarship is renewable for 8 semesters within consecutive academic years.

i. If eligible, applicants will be invited via email to the Northwest's Distinguished Scholars' Day which they must attend.
The President's Scholarship and Admission-Based Freshman Scholarships are mutually exclusive; they do not "stack" and cannot be combined.
