The Dean's Graduate Fellowship is offered to high achieving newly admitted master's students who are residents of Massachusetts. While UMass Lowell's tuition and fees are competitive with other top graduate schools, the purpose of this award is to make excellent master's programs even more affordable.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must;
i. Be classified as in-state tuition residency per university and state guidelines.
ii. Pursue your degree on campus at UMass Lowell and take a minimum of 6 credits on-campus each semester.
iii. Be admitted into one of UMass Lowell Master’s on-campus degree programs.
iv. Meet the academic standards required for acceptance into your program of interest.
Value of Scholarship:
The UML Dean’s Graduate Fellowship is valued at up to $4,000 and scholarship funds of $1,000 will be awarded over four consecutive Fall and Spring semesters to students, who maintain good academic standing in their programs.
The award is also available for up to five semesters (up to $5,000 total) to students pursuing a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree.
Award recipients are required to confirm enrollment by paying the enrollment deposit before the given deadline to secure their awards.
