The Provost's Graduate Fellowship is offered to high achieving newly admitted master's students with a residency status of international, out-of-state or regional. While UMass Lowell's tuition and fees are competitive with other top graduate schools, the purpose of this award is to make UML excellent master's programs even more affordable. Graduate applicants are encouraged to apply early to increase their chances of receiving a fellowship.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must;
i. Be classified as out of state or regional tuition residency per university and state guidelines.
ii. Pursue your degree on campus at UMass Lowell and take a minimum of 6 credits on-campus each semester.
iii. Be admitted into one of UMass Lowell Master’s on-campus degree programs.
iv. Meet the academic standards required for acceptance into your program of interest.
Value of Scholarship:
Awardees will receive up to $8,000 in graduate scholarship funding.
Scholarship funds of $2,000 per semester will be awarded over four fall and spring consecutive semesters to students who maintain good academic standing in their programs. The award is available for up to five semesters (up to $10,000 total) to students pursuing a Master of Public Health degree.
Award recipients are required to confirm enrollment by paying the enrollment deposit before the given deadline to secure their awards.
