Scholarship Summary: 
Amherst College is "need blind" with respect to admission and will not take into account whether or not you have applied for financial aid in the admission process. No matter where in the world you live, no matter what your citizenship status, your prospects for admission will never be negatively affected by your application for aid or to what degree you have financial need.

The College has a comprehensive program of financial aid that provides assistance in the form of scholarships and grants, loans, and student employment; Amherst meets the full demonstrated financial need of all admitted applicants (domestic and international) regardless of citizenship or immigration status.

Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, an applicant must;
i. Be admitted into Amherst (First-Year Regular Decision Application Deadline is January 3rd)
ii. Have demonstrated financial need

* Not less than 60% of admitted students will receive financial aid

Value of Scholarship: 
The Amherst Financial Aid Package will cover 100% of each recipient’s demonstrated need and could reach up to the full cost of undergraduate study.

1. Complete the CSS Profile by 10 Jan
 - Online at CSS Profile
 - Amherst College code: 3003 
 - International applicants for whom the CSS Profile application fee will present a serious financial hardship should submit a request to complete the International Student Financial Aid Application (ISFAA) by logging into their admission account

2. Submit parents’ and student’s federal tax return(s) and wage statement(s) 
- U.S. citizens and U.S. permanent residents submit signed copies of these documents through the College Board’s Institutional Documentation Service: IDOC CollegeBoard
 - International students submit signed copies of national income tax return(s), wage statement(s) or other documentation directly to the Office of Financial Aid via upload on the Financial Aid Portal
- If your parents own an interest in a business corporation, submit a copy of the corporate tax return. If your parents have income from a partnership, submit a copy of the partnership tax return. 

3. Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by 1 Feb
