Scholarship Summary:
The Lang Doctoral Entrance Scholarships are one of the most prestigious graduate entrance awards offered in the Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics. The Lang School seeks to attract and reward scholars (Canadian and international) with potential to attain a high level of academic achievement and to make significant research contributions.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must;
i. Be entering a doctoral degree program offered by the Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics with at least a first class (“A-”) admission average and research interests in alignment with the vision of the Lang School of Business and Economics
The awards committee will also evaluate PhD candidates based on the following criteria:
(a) Sustained, outstanding academic achievement (including academic awards);
(b) Evidence of strong research skills (including publication record if appropriate for the discipline);
(c) Evidence of leadership within and/or beyond the academic community (including volunteer service);
(d) Excellent potential for research: and
(e) relevance of proposed research and personal motivation in context of the Lang School of Business and Economics’ vision
Value of Scholarship:
5 Lang Doctoral Entrance awards of CAD$20,000, payable over 3 semesters, are available.
