The Hellmuth Scholarship is the most prestigious scholarship available at Huron and it’s awarded to one academically gifted student (Canadian citizens and permanent residents only) of the incoming undergraduate class.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must;
• Demonstrate academic excellence with a mid-year average of 90% or higher
• Have an exceptional record of extracurricular and community involvement, as well as demonstrated passion for student life through community leadership, volunteer service, passion for arts, athletics etc.
• Be Canadian citizens or permanent residents
Value of Scholarship:
The Huron Hellmuth Scholarship covers the full cost of tuition and ancillary fees annually. Hellmuth scholarships are renewable for up to four years provided that you maintain a minimum overall average of 80% in a minimum of 5.0 credits each year prior.
Scholarship Application Guide:
To apply;
i. Step 1 – Apply to Huron
Submit an to a Huron program starting September.
ii. Step 2 – Complete the Hellmuth Scholarship Application
Complete the Hellmuth Scholarship Application through the Huron Connect Portal. Once you have completed an admission application, the scholarship application will be available on the portal.
- Once Huron has received your admission application, Huron will send you an email inviting you to set up your Huron Connect Portal.
Requirements for the Scholarship Application:
- School recommendation letter
- Extracurricular Activities & Achievements
- Statement of Purpose* (max 1000 words)
- *Guiding questions will be provided in the Scholarship Application.
iii. Your application will be assessed based on a holistic evaluation of your academic results, admission application, scholarship application and other required documents. The committee will review all submissions and short-listed candidates will then be invited for a video interview.
