Scholarship Summary: 
MSU is awarding the Diversity Opportunity Scholarship to 10 new incoming domestic freshman who are Kentucky residents and have an ethnic background of one of the following: Hispanic/Latino, African-American, American Indian or Alaskan native, Asian, or Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander.

Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must;
i. Be unconditionally admitted to MSU as an entering freshman or as a transfer
student with less than 24 total semesterhours.
ii. Be a legal resident of Kentucky.
iii. Have an ethnic background of one or more of the following: Alaskan/American Indian, Black/African American, Hawaiian/Pacific Islander, or Hispanic. 

Value of Scholarship: 
The Morehead Diversity Opportunity Scholarship covers the full tuition cost and is renewable for up to four years. Recipients of the award are required to live on campus for a minimum of four semesters.

If approved to commute or to live off campus, the scholarship will be reduced by 50%.

i. Submit a completed admissions application packet – including admission application form, transcripts and test scores, along with a completed Diversity Scholarship Application Packet – by Dec. 1.
